OxygenOS 16: The OnePlus 15 is set to launch on November 13, and ahead of its release, the company has unveiled OxygenOS 16, its latest Android 16–based operating system. The update introduces a fresh design language, enhanced performance, and advanced AI-powered tools. It will begin rolling out in phases from November 2025 to select models, including the OnePlus 13, Nord 5, and OnePlus 12.
OxygenOS 16 introduces a major visual overhaul guided by two design philosophies — “Breathe With You” for smoother, more consistent visuals, and “Thrive with Free Expression” for enhanced customization. Featuring a modern The new “Liquid Glass” look with Gaussian blur and a translucent floating bar gives the interface an iOS 16-like modern feel.
The latest OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, brings a refined design, smarter AI integration, and stronger privacy features. It focuses on enhancing productivity, creativity, and seamless device connectivity while keeping user data secure.
Redesigned Interface: OxygenOS 16 adopts a new Material You 3-based expressive UX design, offering a smoother, more fluid user interface with dynamic animations and customizable home screen wallpapers.
Mind Plus: A major new feature, Mind Plus (inspired by ColorOS 16 and powered by Google’s Gemini AI), can temporarily record screen activity, including screenshots. It consolidates scattered digital information into a single, accessible hub for easy reference.
Enhanced Privacy & Security: The new Plus Lock feature adds 11 layers of encryption to safeguard user data.
Gemini AI Suite: The OS introduces several AI tools designed to simplify tasks and enhance creativity:
AI VoiceScribe – Transcribes and summarizes audio or meetings.
AI Writer Toolkit: Assists with mind maps, email drafts, social media captions, and chart creation, boosting productivity.
AI Scan Better – Improves document scanning accuracy.
