Indian Railways has taken a giant leap in digital transformation with the official launch of the RailOne app, a next-generation mobile platform designed to streamline and unify all major passenger services. Unveiled on July 1, 2025, by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, RailOne is engineered to handle an astounding 150,000 ticket bookings and 4 million inquiries per minute—a scale unmatched in the global railway sector.
Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), RailOne consolidates the functionalities of multiple legacy apps—including IRCTC Rail Connect, UTSonMobile, Rail Madad, National Train Enquiry System (NTES), and Food on Track—into a single, user-friendly interface. This integration eliminates the need for passengers to juggle multiple apps, significantly reducing friction and saving device storage.
The launch of RailOne coincides with Indian Railways’ broader digital strategy, including a major upgrade to the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) scheduled for December 2025. The new PRS will be agile, multilingual, and capable of handling ten times the current load, further enhancing the app’s performance and feature set.
RailOne delivers a one-stop solution for all travel needs, boosting convenience, transparency, and satisfaction. The app marks a milestone in the Digital India initiative, enhancing operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and service delivery.
By consolidating all passenger services and delivering record-breaking performance, the RailOne app is set to redefine the travel experience for millions across India. Its ability to handle 150,000 bookings and 4 million inquiries per minute establishes a new global standard for railway technology and passenger service.
