Vivo Y600 Turbo has launched in China with a 9,020mAh silicon-carbon battery, one of the largest ever fitted into a mainstream smartphone, ahead of its May 27 open sale, with prices starting at CNY 2,299 (around $339).
That figure stands out in a market where most 2026 smartphones, including premium flagships, still use 5,000–6,000mAh batteries. Despite the oversized cell, Vivo has kept the device relatively slim at 8.29mm thick and 215 grams, thanks to higher-density silicon-carbon battery technology.
Vivo also claims the battery will retain at least 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,200 full charge cycles, roughly equivalent to five years of daily charging, although real-world longevity remains to be seen.
Battery: The Vivo Y600 Turbo is built around endurance above everything else, featuring a massive 9,020mAh silicon-carbon battery in an 8.29mm body.
Display & Performance: The phone packs a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and claimed 5,000-nit peak brightness. Powering it is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, enough for everyday multitasking and casual gaming.
Cameras: Vivo keeps things basic with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s no ultra-wide or telephoto lens, while selfies are handled by an 8MP front camera.
Durability & Design: The device carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, a rarity in this segment. Colour options include Dune Gold, Electric Blue, and Millennium Pink.
Pricing & Availability: The Y600 Turbo starts at CNY 2,299 (~$339) in China for the 8GB + 256GB model, with higher trims offering up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. Vivo has not confirmed a global launch yet.
