Thyssenkrupp to train 150 youths

Sakal Times

Pune: Pune SOS village in Balgram, Yerawada, and 32 other SOS Children’s Villages, will participate in skill-development training provided by Thyssenkrupp Elevator. The company has initiated a programme named ‘Project SEED’ and 150 youths from across India will get training under this initiative.

Before the programme was initiated in India, it witnessed huge success in Columbia and Brazil. The training consists of soft and basic skills training, career guidance, entrepreneurship support and real-world work experience, which aims to help young job searchers become employable.

“This initiative in India will not only train children, but also help them get recruited in Thyssenkrupp and other such mobility companies. The important part is that training is provided by employee volunteers, which will help the children learn the real-time challenges faced during projects. Moreover, this training also aims to provide new innovative ideas from the youths to Thyssenkrupp Elevators,” said Petra Horn, CEO of SOS Children’s Villages.
