Energy comes from physical activity

Sakal Times

City-based breast surgeon Dr Anupama Mane says that she took up running as a means to improve her fitness. “I started going to Pune University campus where Pune runners used to run. It was refreshing to start exercising. And the group motivated me to continue. Being with other runners meant like being a part of family,” says Dr Mane.

One day, she saw one of her patients in the University campus out for a morning walk. “Though the patient was just walking, I really appreciated her motivation to get out of the house and start exercising. Physical activity gives you a lot of positive energy and it is an answer to the growing stress in our lives,” Dr Mane says.
