While the actor is prepping up for the release of his Hollywood project Victoria & Abdul, which is set to hit screens in India on October 13, there’s already news about his next Hollywood project, a biopic.

Sources close to the actor say that while on his world premiere international tour, Ali met a few directors and stars in Hollywood. “He is in talks for some upcoming projects there. Ali is in talks with a Hollywood director for a biopic role and it will be the first time an Indian actor will be featured in a Hollywood biopic. He is unwilling to divulge details but admits that he has met a filmmaker to discuss an international project, a biopic, even before he signed up with WME,” adds the source.

“It will hopefully roll in 2018. I can’t elaborate further as I am yet to sign on the dotted line,” the actor informed, adding that the world is becoming a smaller place with the market opening up. “Filmmakers are experimenting with unique topics and I want to grab these opportunities and not get typecast.”
