The 10th season of Couture Pune Exhibitions promises to be a grand affair. Luxury and glamour are at the heart of the exhibition and making it bigger and better over the years are the fiercely elegant fashion warriors — Naina Mutha and Smitaraje Patwardhan. The event will be a blend of haute couture and genteel lifestyle, courtesy designers from across the country and genres, meticulously handpicked and invited to showcase their incredible talent.
Since its inception, every edition of the Couture Exhibition has been crafted to suit the audience and exhibitors with the spotlight firmly on space, creativity, quality, quantity and pricing.
The Pune event will host brands such as Salim Asgarally, Divya Reddy and CKC. Joining them will be tony brands such as Totuka, Ghanasingh, House Of MBJ, Golecha, Rathod, Vijaylaxmi, Narjis, Indu Abbot, My Glamm and Suhaana. And adding flavour to the retail bonanza is the Master of Spices, Suhana.
“The Cultural Capital of the state has always been all about simple living and high thinking. But when Couture came into existence nine years ago, I thought we ought to take this adage to next level — why not paraphrase it to high living and higher thinking? Who says intellectuals can’t enjoy the finer things in life? If Couture is able to bring affordable luxury to the doorstep of the fashion brigade, then more power to the Peshwa City,” smiles a visibly pleased Smitaraje Patwardhan as she discusses the milestones that this year and the following year bring with them.
Echoing her thoughts, Naina Mutha, the other half of Couture Pune’s dynamic duo, adds, “Couture will always remain my baby and passion. I have seen it grow from strength to strength over the past nine years. Like all proud mothers, I too expect all my babies should do well. At the end of the day, I would like my invitees to get a variety of lifestyle and fashion brands from all over India under one roof that justifies their money’s worth.”
