Actor Priyanka Chopra has been voted sexiest Asian woman in the world in an annual UK poll released on Tuesday. Deepika Padukone and TV actor Nia Sharma are declared runners-up in the poll done by London-based weekly newspaper Eastern Eye.

Priyanka, who stars in American series Quantico, won back the title of the world’s Sexiest Asian Woman, which she lost to Piku star Deepika Padukone last year. 

Deepika is ranked third this year.

A delighted Priyanka said,”I cannot actually take credit for this at all. Full credit should be given to my genetics and your optics.” Thanking everyone who voted in the online poll for her, she added, “I feel grateful and humbled. Consistency is key.”

Now in its 14th year, the list is based on many millions of votes sent in by fans around the world, media coverage, impact and heat generated across various social media platforms. The other key names in the 2017 list include Niti Taylor (11), Sonam Kapoor (12), Jennifer Winget (14), Esha Gupta (17), Krystle DSouza (21), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (26), Erica Fernandes (28), Jacqueline Fernandez (30), Athiya Shetty (32), Anushka Shetty (42) and Anushka Sharma (44).

As for Priyanka, the actor made incredible strides internationally with the release of her debut Hollywood feature Baywatch, won another People’s Choice Award and is currently working on a couple of Hollywood projects. She will soon start shooting for Quantico season 3.
