Why depend on others?

Sakal Times

Ranjana Natha Kamble, a vegetable vendor, likes to earn her own money.

I have been selling vegetables at Deccan Gymkhana from 1979. I love the place and I am on good terms with my customers. They know me and I know them and what vegetables they require. I do my work sincerely. I don’t like going around other stalls, chatting or gossiping with other vendors. I mind my business and keep to myself.

I have been living in Pune for 40 years now. And, it has become a home. My son got married recently. He is working in a good company. He runs the house and takes care of all our requirements.

I don’t really have to work for money now. We are leading comfortable lives. But why depend on others? I am happy to earn my money. And, I love my independence.
