Billie Eilish Hits New Heights as Two Singles Go Year Long on Charts

For artists, the music charts are a living measure of impact—and Billie Eilish’s latest feat proves her staying power. Two singles from Hit Me Hard and Soft—“Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower”—have now spent over a year on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching new career highs long after their debut.

“Birds of a Feather” has defied the average song’s lifespan, becoming Eilish’s first single to chart for 52 weeks on the Hot 100—surpassing even her breakout hit “bad guy,” which spent 49 weeks there.

The song hit a new peak at No. 2 on the Hot 100, and No. 1 on both the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts, maintaining a record run of over 30 weeks at the top of rock/alternative.

It also earned 5× Platinum certification in the U.S. and topped charts in major markets like Australia and New Zealand. Remarkably, it was the most streamed song on Spotify in 2024, edging out Sabrina Carpenter’s global hit “Espresso”.

Wildflower - Billie Eilish

Not to be outdone, “Wildflower”—the album’s fourth single—has now also crossed the one-year mark on the Hot 100, lingering there for 53 weeks, and boastingly spending 57 weeks on Billboard’s rock/alternative charts en.wikipedia.org.

Released to radio in early 2025, “Wildflower” reached No. 17 on the Hot 100 and earned double platinum certification. It also entered the top 10 in several countries and dominated charts across alternative and rock formats worldwide.

Billie Eilish’s two-year chart presence from the same album is rare—only a handful of artists have achieved this across multiple singles. This cements her evolution from Gen Z prodigy to established cultural force with enduring appeal.

Tracks like “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” aren’t fleeting viral moments—they’re modern-day classics, rooted in emotionally resonant storytelling and sonic innovation.

A year in, and these songs continue to chart—still climbing, still striking chords worldwide. Billie Eilish isn’t just topping charts; she’s shaping their evolution, rewriting what long-term success looks like in the streaming era.
