Actress Kangana Ranaut expressed her frustration in a post responding to AI-modified images that showed her in suits rather than her original saree outfits. On Monday, Kangana reposted content from an Instagram user named Female in suit shirt & tie on her Instagram Stories.
Kangana Ranaut speaks out against AI-modified images of herself
In the AI-modified images, Kangana appeared in blue, brown, and rust-colored suits as she left Parliament. She shared the post with a caption, "These are originally my photos from Parliament in saris. Please stop applying AI to my pictures."
Kangana mentioned that she frequently encounters AI-modified images of herself in different outfits and makeup. She requested people to cease this activity. "This is an indescribable violation; every day I wake up to find myself in various AI-generated clothes and makeup, even in altered photos. People should refrain from dressing others up! Please stop these AI edits and allow me to decide how I want to look and what I want to wear, as it is entirely my choice," she stated. Since becoming an MP in the Lok Sabha from Mandi in June 2024, Kangana has been wearing sarees to Parliament.
Regarding Kangana's professional journey
The actress first appeared in movies with the 2006 thriller Gangster. She subsequently featured in numerous films such as Woh Lamhe, Life in a Metro, Fashion, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Tanu Weds Manu, Krrish 3, Queen, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Panga (2020), and others.
She has received National Film Awards and was awarded the Padma Shri. Kangana ventured into filmmaking with Manikarnika and Emergency. Since June 2024, the actor has been representing Mandi as a Lok Sabha MP.
Kangana was last seen by fans in the film Emergency, where she played the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The movie hit theaters on January 17 this year. Kangana is set to debut in Hollywood with a leading role in the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil, alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone. Filming is scheduled to start this summer in New York, with Anurag Rudra directing the project.
