Following in the footsteps of his famous father Aamir Khan, Junaid Khan entered Bollywood as an actor in 2024 with the film Maharaj. Junaid impressed audiences with his role as social reformer Karsandas Muljis, alongside co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, and Sharvari. He later appeared with Khushi Kapoor in Loveyapa, where, despite feeling miscast, his comedic skills were praised. Junaid's next project is Ek Din, featuring Sai Pallavi in her Bollywood debut. In a conversation with News 18 about the film Ek Din, featuring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi, Aamir Khan expressed, 'It's a purely romantic film, embodying a classic romance genre. It's the type of romance I enjoy. As a viewer, I am a fan of sentimental romantic films. I adore sentimental romance. It's that classic, slightly enchanting love story. I was captivated by the script when I first heard it. I'm thrilled we ultimately chose Sai Pallavi. She is an excellent actress and has performed remarkably well.'

Discussing his son Junaid's involvement in the film, Aamir expressed, "I believe Junaid has performed admirably. Since he is my son, I prefer not to elaborate much on it. However, I think both of them have done a great job. The director has crafted a fantastic film, and I am eagerly anticipating its release on May 1st."

Ek Din, directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan, Aamir Khan, and Aparna Purohit under Aamir Khan Productions, is said to be a remake of the 2016 Thai movie One Day. Following Ek Din, Sai Pallavi is set to star alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.
