In a conversation with SCREEN, actor Rajpal Yadav discussed the support he received from the film industry during his incarceration and addressed Sonu Sood's recent remark about 'offering him work.' Yadav stated, 'Please dispel the notion that I constantly need to ask for work. There is no embarrassment in seeking employment. My livelihood depends on my work, cinema is my passion, and I work in such a manner that I receive four times the amount of work. I even work during vacations. Work doesn't come to me; it has been a part of my life for the past 11 years.' In response to the media, Sonu Sood commented, 'I'm happy for him. I didn't imply he needs work. I suggested, 'Sign him and pay advances because he deserves it.''

Yadav was recently given temporary bail in a case involving a ₹9 crore debt and a bounced cheque. While he was in Tihar Jail, numerous industry personalities, such as Sonu Sood and Salman Khan, reportedly came forward to provide financial assistance. Director Priyadarshan also disclosed that he requested the producers of his upcoming film to pay Rajpal more than his standard rate, attributing the actor's difficulties to his 'lack of education.' The actor criticized the director for this remark.

Yadav conveyed his appreciation for the love and backing he has been given. He highlighted that the most significant aspect for him during this time was the confidence shown by audiences, colleagues, and supporters. He values respect, time, and being heard above all else. Additionally, he mentioned, 'I will continue to honor the court and follow all its instructions. I have always upheld this stance from the beginning and will allow the legal proceedings to take their course.'

Although my work hours might change temporarily, I will gradually and responsibly return to my duties. Acting has been a significant part of my life for many years, and I am dedicated to it.

Discussing his forthcoming projects, he mentioned, "This year, I'm working on my debut film with Priyanji, titled Bhoot Bangla. Following that, I have Welcome To The Jungle, featuring 27 actors, and then there's Haiwaan, where I have a small yet remarkable role. Additionally, I am involved in two web series and two other films, which I am unable to discuss at the moment."
