Pune: For those who are suffering from diabetes, here is good news for you. Now you can control your blood sugar levels by just chewing the two leaves of this plant. The plant, which has miraculous properties of controlling the sugar levels, can be grown in your terrace garden or on the balcony.

The leaves of Costus Igneus which also known as Insulin plant has medicinal properties that can be useful in keeping your blood sugar levels in control. Of course, before attempting it, you must consult your health care provider.

These leaves can be consumed in two different ways. Either you can wash and clean it thoroughly under water and chew it or you can make a paste of it and mix it with a glass of water. Once mixed well, you can gulp it down.
