Salman Khan donates food supplies to needy amid COVID-19 lockdown

The entire country is facing uncertainty in the wake of the novel coronavirus. There are thousands of people who are finding it hard to make ends meet. Many Bollywood celebrities are already doing their bit by donating funds to make sure that the needy get a supply of essential commodities.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who previously donated funds to the needy and urged for ‘Anna Daan’ is now donating food supplies from his farmhouse in Panvel.

Film industry stars such as Jacqueline Fernandez, Iulia Vantur, Kamaal Khan, Waluscha De Sousa Niketan Madhok and more also contributed to the noble cause.

Salman on his Instagram handle wrote, “Thanks for the contribution... thank you all @jacquelinef143 @vanturiulia @rahulnarainkanal @imkamaalkhan @niketan_m @waluschaa @abhiraj88.”

Two months back, Salman through his charity ‘Being Human’ pledged to support 25,000 daily wage workers of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), whose employment has been sternly affected.

Salman recently shared a video on social media of the initiative he has started to help people stride through the pandemic.

In the clip, Salman and his friends are seen to form a human chain as they pass the essential sack from one to another. At the end of the clip, all the sacks are seen loaded in bullock carts and are ready for dispatch.

Soon after the Kick actor posted the video, netizens started praising the actor for his kind gesture.

Salman who was shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Radhe’ is currently at his farmhouse in Panvel along with his family members and friends. The actor has been uploading videos on social media handles congratulating frontline workers and requesting fans to practice social distancing.

The Dabbang actor also released a song titled ‘Pyaar Karona’ on YouTube written by Salman Khan and Hussain Dalal recently.
