Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik Chakraborty and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's housekeeper Samuel Miranda have been arrested over the on-going 'drug probe'. The formalities will be completed in two hours. As stated by the Narcotics Control Bureau, the duo will be arrested over drug links. Samuel and Showik have been booked under IPC sections 20 (B) -- deals with production, possession, transportation and usage of cannabis, 28 (counterfeit), 29 and 27 (A).
The NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra declined to reveal anything about the search to the media. Sushant's girlfriend Rhea and her family were accused of abetting Sushant's suicide, however, there is also a 'drug angle' to it.
During the interrogation, Showik claimed that Rhea had asked him to procure drugs. Along with Showik and Miranda, three others have been arrested, Basit Parihar, Kaizan Ibraham and Zaid.
