Baramati NCP Leaders Call for Probe into Anonymous Letter Targeting Ajit Pawar

Pune: In a bid to safeguard the reputation of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, senior leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Baramati have submitted a memorandum to the local police, urging a thorough investigation into the source of an anonymous letter that recently went viral.

The letter, which allegedly contains defamatory content about Pawar, is believed to have been written by party workers, but the true mastermind behind the letter remains unknown.

The memorandum highlights that the letter is being circulated in the Baramati region with the intent to defame Ajit Pawar. It contains harmful, false statements about the NCP leader, which are spreading misinformation and causing confusion among party workers.

The NCP leaders stressed the need to track down the origin of the letter and identify those responsible for its circulation.

In recent days, the letter has stirred tensions in Baramati, leading to unrest among residents and NCP supporters. NCP leaders have called on the police to conduct a deep investigation and take strict legal action against those behind the defamatory campaign.

The memorandum has also been forwarded to the District Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, and the Cyber Cell.

Leaders like Jai Patil, Sambhaji Holkar, Sadhu Ballal, Avinash Bandal, Amar Dhumal, Vishal Jadhav, Anita Gaikwad, Tushar Lokhande, and Parth Galinde were present while submitting the request to Baramati city police.
