Pune: In an effort to ensure that its affiliated schools strictly follow prescribed rules and guidelines, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated a rigorous inspection campaign.

The initiative aims to scrutinize schools that may be operating in violation of the board's regulations, including those functioning illegally. Recently, surprise inspections were carried out at 27 schools in Rajasthan and Delhi, and the board has announced that any schools found breaching regulations will face disciplinary action.

The primary goal of these inspections is to verify that CBSE-affiliated schools are adhering to the regulations and bylaws established by the board.

In recent years, concerns have been raised regarding schools deviating from the standards, and this campaign seeks to address those concerns. A total of 27 inspection teams were formed, with each team consisting of a CBSE official and the principal of another CBSE-affiliated institution.

These teams were dispatched to different schools to conduct on-the-spot inspections over a short period, making the operation highly coordinated and effective.

During the inspections, the teams evaluated whether the schools were providing accurate information regarding their operations and compliance with CBSE rules.

The inspections covered various aspects of school functioning, including infrastructure, teaching standards, administrative procedures, and adherence to safety protocols. Schools that were found to be non-compliant will be subject to strict action, which could range from warnings to disaffiliation in severe cases.

CBSE has expressed its commitment to maintaining high standards in its affiliated schools and ensuring that quality education is consistently provided.

The board emphasized that it will continue to conduct such surprise inspections to uphold its standards and warned schools against any lapses in following the regulations.
