Pune: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has published the revised schedule for the academic year 2024-25, enabling institutions to admit students for vacant seats until October 23.

In response, the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) has extended the deadline for admissions to postgraduate programs, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), and Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) courses.

A circular issued by the CET Cell states that the extension covers various professional undergraduate and postgraduate programs under the Technical Education Department's authority for the 2024-25 academic session.

These programs are offered by government, government-aided, university-operated, and private unaided institutions, covering both first-year and second-year admissions for MBA, MCA, and hotel management courses.

Following the Centralized Admission Process (CAP), seats that remain vacant, including those under the institute-level quota, are now open for the non-CAP registration and admission process.

The CET Cell clarified that the deadline for lateral entry into MBA and MCA programs and for hotel management degree course admissions is set for October 23.

Candidates interested in applying for these vacant or institute-level seats must complete the registration, document verification, and application confirmation either through the e-scrutiny method or through physical verification.

Candidates are required to submit applications directly to the institutions of their choice, and the respective institutions will prepare the merit lists. For more information, applicants can visit the official CET Cell website at https://cetcell.mahacet.org.
