The incident occurred at around 7:00 AM near the Spini Company in the Varale village area of Khed taluka. The deceased has been identified as Kavita Krishna Devkar, a 30-year-old resident of Ambethan, Khed taluka.

The accident unfolded when Kavita requested a lift from a motorcyclist, Balaji Lalsingh Rathod (40), who agreed to help.

According to Rathod, he was traveling from Ambethan towards Varale village on his motorcycle (MH 42 AV 9238) when Kavita asked for a ride. While they were en route to Vasuli Phata, a speeding truck (MH 13 CU 3546) struck the motorcycle from behind near the Spini Company.
