The opening aims to support the rising demand for travel, as forecasts predict that Indian nationals traveling abroad will reach 90 million by 2040. The centre will focus primarily on processing Thai visa applications.

Equipped with advanced technology, the new facility can manage over 2,000 visa applications daily and spans 2,000 square feet. It is expected to boost local employment and enhance the region’s visa processing capabilities significantly.

The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, including Nattasuda Mettaprasert, Deputy Consul-General, Royal Thai Consulate-General, Mumbai, and Isada Saovaros, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Mumbai.

Chutinan Klinmalai, Consul at the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Auttapon Thawesuntorn, Deputy Director, Yaoza K Shimray, Marketing Officer, Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Manoj Dharmani, CEO of DUDigital Global, were also present.

Dharmani highlighted the importance of the new centre, stating, “This visa application centre will be instrumental in addressing the rising demand for visa services in Mumbai. We aim to provide efficient, hassle-free solutions for our clients. With this expansion, we are committed to continuously enhancing the customer experience.

Thailand remains a favored destination for Indian travelers, and our centre will streamline the process to make travel accessible and convenient."

He also introduced the 'Visa Wherever You Want' service, which enables applicants to complete their visa process from home, with visa delivery options directly to their doorstep for added convenience.

The centre will also assist with Destination Thailand Visas, offering five-year multiple-entry validity. For those seeking a more personalized experience, a Premium Lounge is available, providing comfortable surroundings and dedicated support.

As DUDigital Global expands its operations across major cities, this new centre is expected to facilitate a smoother, more accessible visa application process for an increasing number of travelers. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art encryption and data security systems to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all applicant information.
