Pune, 30 August 2025: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to visit Pune on September 1 to seek blessings at the city’s prominent Ganesh mandals and those organized by BJP leaders and workers. His schedule may also include the inauguration of the Sinhgad Road flyover, though the Pune Municipal Corporation has not yet received official confirmation.
Fadnavis has made it a practice to attend Ganeshotsav in Pune every year, visiting both the city’s respected mandals and residences of senior BJP functionaries. Party workers and organizers have already begun preparations for his arrival.
There was earlier speculation about whether the CM would remain in Mumbai due to the ongoing Maratha reservation protest led by Manoj Jarange-Patil. However, party insiders now indicate that Fadnavis is likely to be present in Pune on September 1, raising expectations about the long-awaited flyover inauguration.
Meanwhile, BJP national president J. P. Nadda will be in Pune a day earlier, on August 30. He is scheduled to visit several Ganesh mandals across the city and pay visits to the homes of BJP leaders. Nadda has been making similar visits during Ganeshotsav in recent years, underlining the importance of Pune in the party’s outreach during the festival.
