Pune: GH Raisoni International Skill Tech University (GHRISTU) organized its first-ever Hackathon, exclusively for first-year students, offering a creative space for young innovators to tackle pressing, real-world issues.

Hosted by the university’s Developer Club, the event saw enthusiastic participation, with over 45 students forming six teams that displayed teamwork, ingenuity, and technical skills.

This Hackathon marks an important step in the university’s focus on fostering innovation and experiential learning.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. M.U. Kharat, Vice Chancellor of GHRISTU Pune, alongside faculty members Prof. Anuraj Bose and Prof. Samim Attar, who served as faculty coordinators.

Dr. Kharat expressed pride in the students’ efforts, noting that several ideas demonstrated remarkable quality and originality. A few solutions were particularly notable, with one concept showing potential for integration with the university’s Cyber-Vidya platform, pending further refinement.

The Hackathon provided a supportive atmosphere for students to excel, with strong backing from faculty members.

Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of Raisoni Education, and Shreysh Raisoni, Executive Director, praised the students for their achievements. This event stands as a testament to the university’s dedication to nurturing future talent and has inspired students to continue advancing their skills to solve real-world challenges.

Recently, a team from G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune, achieved an impressive 4th place in the prestigious UST D3CODE International Hackathon 2024.

Led by Omkar Deshpande from the AI Department, the team included Piyush Joshi, Parth Bhor, and Rajtilak Joshi, all from the Computer Engineering Department. The team’s remarkable performance earned them an Honorary Mention and a cash prize of ₹2 lakhs
