Agriculture bill will not be passed in Maharashtra, says Ajit Pawar

Pune: After the central government passed the agriculture bill, there are several reactions have been recorded across the country. Keeping out state in mind, Maharashtra will not pass this bill. However, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that he would discuss with the experts before coming to a conclusion. He also responded to a question from media representatives in Pune about the agriculture bill.

Regarding the current situation of the coronavirus outbreak in the Maharashtra state, Ajit Pawar said, "On the one hand, there are rising COVID-19 cases. On the other hand, the number of patients going home after recovery is also higher. Therefore, the citizens have to follow the rules coming from the government during every festival to date." 

He appealed the public to follow the norms for Navratra and Dussehra, mentioning how the doubling period for COVID-19 in Pune city has gone up to 60 days at present. He also testified that how after Ganesh Utsav in Pune, COVID-19 cases have increased.

On asking when the temples and mosques in the state will reopen, he said, "Given the growing number of COVID-19 patients across the country, the state government is still making decisions. There is a demand to open temples, mosques, gurdwaras, churches and other religious and pilgrimage institution. We also think it should start. But we should make a careful step-by-step decision so that the virus does not spread further. We are working on it. As our ultimate aim is to overcome this pandemic."
