Central Bank of India donates 1,000 raincoats to Maharashtra Police

Mumbai: Since the outbreak of COVID – 19 the entire world has been driven to the safety of their homes. However, the Maharashtra Police being the frontline fighters have been on the roads every single day ensuring essential services are not interrupted.

In an attempt to express an appreciation Central Bank of India in collaboration with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co Ltd donated 1,000 raincoats to the Maharashtra Police.

In an event organised, at Central Bank Of India Central Office, MD& CEO of the Bank PallavMohapatra along with ED BS Shekhawat, ED Alok Srivastava and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance President and Country Head Alpana Singh greeted IPS & DCP of Mumbai Zone 1 Sangramsinh Nishandar and other senior officials of the Maharashtra Police.

Applauding the good work put in by Maharashtra Police CBI MD & CEO Pallav Mohapatra said, “The efforts put in by our police force is second to none, we are thankful for all the risks they take often at a personal cost in serving the public. Our small contribution is an attempt to express our gratitude to the unwavering hard work of the Maharashtra Police.”

Commenting on this initiative, Alpana Singh, Head – Bancassurance (PSUs, RRBs, & Co-operative Banks), Bajaj Allianz General Insurance said, “Covid-19 has brought in trying times for each one of us. While we are safe within our homes, the police department is working day in and day out to add to our safety and security. Through this gesture in association with Central Bank of India, we aim to show care and support towards their work for our society. We are with them and will be there to support in any manner possible.”
