PUNE: As per a recent Government Resolution (GR) issued by the State government, it has received sufficient funds from the Centre for promotion of mechanisation of farming activities, which have been disbursed to the needy farmers. 

The Central government has marked 111 districts in the country where the ‘Transformation of Aspirational Districts’ will be implemented. The districts from Maharashtra are Osmanabad, Washim, Gadchiroli and Nandurbar. To implement the Krishi Kalyan Abhiyaan in these districts, the Central government had allotted funds to the tune of Rs 800 lakh while the State’s contribution was Rs 533.33 lakh, of which total funds disbursed were Rs 1,000 lakh, while Scheduled Tribe farmers were allotted the remaining Rs 333.34 lakh.

The mechanisation efforts undertaken by the government had been allotted funds of Rs 6,250 lakh, out of which the Centre’s share was of Rs 3,750 lakh and the State’s was Rs 2,500 lakh. Of this, the Central contribution has been disbursed. 

Mechanisation funds of almost Rs 634.76 lakh were disbursed to farmers from schedule tribes.
