FIR against Bhide Guruji for controversial statement

Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation's (NMC) health department has filed a case against Shiv Pratisthan's chief Sambhaji Bhide at judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) court in Nashik district and session court.
 
Giving details, NMC's medical superintendent Dr Jairam Kothari said Bhide had made controversial claims that he had cured 150 infertile couple and ensured choice of the child's gender by feeding 'magical' mangoes to such couples.
  
Receiving a report from the Pre-conception and Pre-Nataldiagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT), we have prepared a case and filed in the district and session court, Dr Kothari said. 

On June 10, Bhide made a controversial statement in a meeting, saying that he had cured 150 out of 180 infertile couples that had approached him. He said he had ensured the birth of male children by feeding 'magical' mangoes.
