Goyal expresses confidence about BJP’s 2019 prospects

MUMBAI: Union railway minister Piyush Goyal is confident that the BJP will win with two-thirds majority in parliamentary election and come in power again. He said irrespective of mahagatbandhan the BJP will come in power.

“In last four and half year the government has achieved a lot. This period is known as low inflation rate and the economy is becoming stronger. We have brought good days, and will bring more good days in future," he claimed. 

He was talking with the media at Mumbai BJP office. "Modi government has done lot of welfare work for the general public. The focus of the government is welfare of public," he said. 

"One can hugely build up fiscal deficits and show growth in short-run, but to sustain in long-run, one will have to have strong leadership in place and ensure sustainability of both economy and environment. One will also have to ensure that we are recognized in the world as an honest country, as a country where business can be done with equal opportunity for everybody," he said.

While talking about mega alliance of all opposition, he said even after the alliance the BJP will be in power with two third majority.

"While focusing on welfare schemes, we have transparent and corruption free governance. Internal security of the citizens has been increased and there is no single naxal attack or terrorist attack occurred in the country in last four years," he added. 

'Railway ministry is going to make the trains more secured, we have planned to install close certificate TVs on 6 thousand railway stations and will install CCTVs in 12 thousand trains. All the stations will be connect with wifi and the cctv connection will be made available in local police station. This will make the railway travel more safety," he said.
