HSC results declared, pass percentage drops

Pune: The state recorded a pass percentage of 85.88 in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination this year.

The passing among the Std XII students has dropped by 2.53 per cent this year, with the passing percentage of all the streams going down than the last year. A total of 87.88 per cent, of the 2,40,434 students from Pune division who appeared for the examination, passed.

The pass percentage amongst girls, which is 90.25, is again higher than those amongst boys at 82.40. The pass percentage amongst thr disabled students is 92.60.

A total of 768 copy cases have been registered across the state this year during the Board examination.

The examination was conducted in 151 subjects, out of which 22 registered 100 per cent result. The examination was conducted in nine divisions, out of which Konkan had the highest pass percentage as usual, while Nagpur stood lowest at 82.51 per cent.
