Pune: Officials from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) have informed that a grievance redressal centre has been started at the State-owned power company’s main
office in Mumbai.
The officials stated that the centre has been started to speed up the process of issuing new electric connections and also help with problems of the name change.
“This grievance redressal centre is an initiative of Sanjeev Kumar, Managing Director, MSEDCL, to address problems faced by consumers,” said the officials.
The officials informed that so far, within two months, a total of 326 consumers have contacted the centre to raise various complaints.
“Out of these, 170 consumers wanted new power connections and 156 others were seeking name change,” said the MSEDCL officials.
The officials stated that so far 170 new connections have been issued.
