SET results declared: Barely 6.52% candidates qualify

Pune: Only 6.52 percent of candidates have qualified in the state entrance test (SET) for the post of assistant professor for Maharashtra and Goa which was held at state agency Savitribai Phule Pune Univeristy (SPPU). The results of SET were declared on Thursday. 

Around 4,068 candidates out of 62,404 have qualified in the entrance exam. Those eligible candidates can now apply for the post of assistant professor at various institutes and universities. 

The qualified candidates need to submit duly attested documents along with their application form downloaded after submission of the online application within one month from the date of declaration of result on May 24. 

As per university grants commission (UGC) and SET notification decision of the state agency on the final answer keys will be held final and no greivances in this regards will be considered. It has also been notified by SPPU that approved qualifying cut-off percentage of marks will be subject-wise and caetgory wise, therefore no request for change of either subject or category will be accepted. 

A candidate can be disqualified even after the results are declared if any information furnished to the institute is found false.
