SSC exam: Social Science paper leaked in Ulhasnagar

ST CORRESPONDENT

MUMBAI/PUNE: In yet another blow to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), a case of a paper leak was reported at the Sacred Heart School in Ulahsnagar in the ongoing SSC examination.

Around an hour before the Social Science Paper I of Std X Board examination on Monday morning, the question paper was found on the mobile phones of around 15 students in the exam centre at the said school. These students belong to different schools. The invigilators at the centre frisked the students for the mobile phones after they received alerts that many students could possibly receive the question paper from a private coaching class.

It is suspected the paper was sent to the students by Vinita Khatwani of Vinita classes. A couple of other classes too are suspected to be a part of this.

Speaking about the issue, Shakuntala Kale, Chairperson, MSBSHSE, confirmed that the question paper went viral on WhatsApp and said, “A complaint has been lodged at the local police station, and there will be a probe into the matter. We will not be conducting the paper again, but action will be taken against those found guilty.”

Around an hour before the exam, the question paper was found on the mobile phones of around 15 students.
