State milk association donates Rs 1.1 cr to CM fund

PUNE: Maharashtra Milk Producers and Processors Association has donated Rs one crore and one lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Kolhapur and Sangli floods.

Around 45 dairies of the state, who are part of this association, contributed the amount to help the flood-affected areas of Kolhapur and Sangli, along with relief materials. 

“Apart from amount of Rs one crore and one lakh, we have also contributed by giving some relief materials as well. The recent floods in Kolhapur and Sangli had badly hit the dairy farmers as they have suffered huge losses. It is our collective effort to help them and by giving the amount to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, we are assured that the amount will reach the right people without any problem,” said Vivek Shirsagar, Treasurer, Maharashtra Milk Producers and Processors Association.
