Mithilesh Bhati, the woman who shot to online fame for coining the now-viral phrase "Lappu Sa Sachin," has once again captured public attention. This time, she appeared at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where she voiced her support for activist and engineer Sonam Wangchuk, who remains on an indefinite hunger strike.
Bhati’s presence at the protest site swiftly drew the notice of attendees and media representatives. Once people realized who she was, multiple journalists came forward to seek her remarks, resulting in yet another viral incident.
Her 'Lappu' remark sparks social media buzz again
In a short exchange with journalists, one reporter jokingly mentioned the catchphrase that brought Bhati into the spotlight and asked, "Who is the 'Lappu' this time?" Responding with her characteristic humor, Bhati smiled and said, "Just accept it, brother—the system itself is turning into a complete mess now."
Within hours, the comment had spread widely across social media, as numerous users referenced the phrase that had gone viral in 2023. Footage of the exchange rapidly attracted attention, further cementing Bhati’s unforeseen rise to online prominence.
How 'Lappu Sa Sachin' became a nationwide catchphrase
Mithilesh Bhati first gained public attention amid the Seema Haider–Sachin Meena controversy in 2023. In a television interview, the Rabupura resident from Greater Noida described Sachin Meena by saying, "Sachin is a weakling, a boy as insignificant as a cricket."
The remark quickly turned into one of India’s most viral catchphrases. It sparked thousands of memes, music remixes, comedy skits, reels, and parody clips across social platforms, transforming Bhati into an unexpected internet star.
Since that time, she has remained active at public functions and community events, frequently expressing her views on social and civic matters.
Bhati extends support to Sonam Wangchuk
Bhati was most recently seen in public backing Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently on an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar. Wangchuk’s protest is tied to his call for stronger constitutional protections for Ladakh, including statehood and legal safeguards designed to preserve the region’s environment, culture, and indigenous identity.
Her visit came as several supporters and public figures have been reaching the protest site to express solidarity with Wangchuk's campaign.
