Nanded City: Accused Arrested, Chargesheet Filed in Just 24 Hours in Molestation Case

The accused, identified as Joel Paul (36), was booked under molestation charges based on the complaint filed by the victim.

Pune: In a swift action, the Nanded City Police arrested an accused and filed a chargesheet within 24 hours in a molestation case. The accused, identified as Joel Pauls (36, resident of Shivane, Uttamnagar), was booked under molestation charges based on the complaint filed by the victim.

According to the police, the woman had visited a hotel with her friend when the accused followed her inside. At the hotel, he grabbed her stole in an act of molestation.

The incident took place on Friday around 4 PM. Later that night, the victim approached the police and lodged a formal complaint at 10 PM. Acting swiftly, the Nanded City Police launched an immediate investigation, collected evidence, and arrested the accused within 24 hours.

The police investigation was completed within a day, and the chargesheet was filed against the accused within 24 hours of the complaint. He was then presented before the court.

Speaking about the case, Police Inspector Atul Bhos of Nanded City Police Station stated, "Ensuring the safety of women and delivering swift justice is our priority. The case was thoroughly investigated and chargesheeted within 24 hours to ensure strict legal action."

The investigation team, led by Police Sub-Inspector Swapnali Gaikwad and Assistant Sub-Inspector Chikhale, played a key role in expediting the case.
