2019 polls to be contested on achievements of Modi: Yogi Adityanath

UNI

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has maintained that the 2019 Lok Sabha elections would be contested on the achievements of the Narendra Modi government.

In an interaction with media and people at a function in the state capital on Saturday, he said, "The Opposition are making their best effort to fight against the BJP and Narendra Modi and were trying to make a mahagathbandan, but unfortunately they have no such leader on whose face they can go in the elections." The Chief Minister said the move of the Opposition by forming a mahagathbandan can lead to instability in the country but they will fail as people will reject them over their vested interest and political incompetence.

He said the Opposition are talking about ''mahagathbandan'' but as they have no such big leader, they are not projecting any Prime Minister.

"The entire Opposition is afraid of the BJP hence they have ganged up against development and the progress of the people of the country," he claimed.

Mr Adityanath said this is the first government in the country which has centered its development in villages, farmers, labourers and women.

He also narrated in detail about the achievements of his one-and-a-half year government while claiming that none of the government in the past had done such works in this short period.
