Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 hits West Bengal

Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale hit West Bengal on Wednesday morning. The tremors were witnessed from Durgapur at approximately 7:54 am, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported.

"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.1, Occurred on 26-08-2020, 07:54:02 IST, Lat: 23.79 and Long: 88.36, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 110 km ENE of Durgapur, West Bengal," the NCS tweeted.

According to sources, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property, amid the earthquake. Tremors were felt in the industrial town and its surroundings.
