Indian Army personnel guarding the borders at Eastern Ladakh celebrated Fourth International Yoga Day at Daulat Beg Oldie - Tien Wein Dien meeting point on 21 June 2018, at the altitude of 16,942 feet.

The soldiers of both - Indian Army and People Liberation Army - participated in the event with great enthusiasm and displayed bonhomie between the two great armies.

During the yoga session, a talk was also given on importance of yoga for health, well being and inner balance at high altitude.

Apart from giving impetus to physical fitness, the event was aimed at further cementing the bonds of friendship and mutual trust between both the nations following the motto of the Fourth International Yoga Day “Yoga for Peace and Harmony”.

The joint yoga session was organised between the soldiers of both nations on the longest day of the year, in the sub zero temperatures, thereby displaying the undeterred courage and motivation of the soldiers.
