Pune: Lieutenant General DR Soni, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, visited Goa military station to review the training and operational preparedness of Army units located in Goa on Monday and Tuesday. 

During the visit, he met Mridula Sinha, Governor of Goa, and Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa. In these interactions, various issues of mutual and national interest were discussed.

The General Officer expressed his gratitude for the support extended by the State government to the Army units located in Goa and assured timely military response, in case required.
