Nawab Malik’s Son-in-Law Sameer Khan Injured in Kurla Accident; Driver Arrested

Mumbai: Sameer Khan, the son-in-law of NCP MLA and former minister Nawab Malik, sustained serious injuries in a car accident in Kurla on Wednesday.

Khan, along with his wife Nilofar, had visited Criti Care Hospital for a routine check-up near their residence. After the check-up, as they stepped outside, the Thar SUV they were to travel in accidentally sped up, hitting Sameer Khan, resulting in severe injuries.

While bringing the vehicle, the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the Thar to speed up and hit Sameer Khan. In the accident, Sameer Khan suffered a serious head injury and was immediately taken to the hospital. He is currently in the ICU, and Nilofar has a hand injury. Sameer Khan is under close medical observation.

Sameer Khan Sustains Head Injury

The accident occurred in the Kurla area, where Sameer Khan sustained a head injury, as well as injuries to his face. The driver pressed the accelerator by mistake, causing the car to speed up and hit Sameer Khan, dragging him along.

The car then crashed into the wall of the HDIL Colony. A case has been registered against the car driver, Abul Anyari. Several motorcycles were also damaged in the accident. The Vinoba Bhave Nagar police are investigating the case further.
