NIRF 2024: Symbiosis Skills and Professional University Tops New Skill University Category

Skill Universities category in NIRF rankings marks a new chapter in recognizing institutions that excel in practical and vocational education.

Pune: Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) has secured the first position in the Skill Universities category in the 2024 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), a significant achievement unveiled by the Ministry of Education on August 12, 2024, in New Delhi.

The prestigious accolade was presented by the Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan, to Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of SSPU.

The India Rankings 2024, introduced by the Union Minister alongside prominent educational leaders such as K. Sanjay Murthy, Secretary of Higher Education, and Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of UGC, highlighted the inaugural inclusion of the Skill Universities category.

SSPU's remarkable achievement in this category underscores its commitment to excellence in teaching, innovation, research, and student outcomes, aligning with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Expressing her delight, Dr. Swati Mujumdar remarked, "It is an immense honor to receive this prestigious recognition on behalf of Symbiosis Skills and Professional University.

This achievement reflects the relentless dedication and hard work of our entire university community—students, faculty, and staff. We are deeply grateful for this acknowledgment and look forward to continuing our pursuit of excellence in skill-based education."
