Pune: In a shocking incident, four individuals attempted to kill a rickshaw driver by assaulting him with machetes following a heated argument over rickshaw parking at Swargate bus stand the day before.

The injured driver, Jainuddin Shahju Bhaijaan, sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.

The dispute arose on Tuesday between Jainuddin and Anup Pasalkar over the parking of their rickshaws outside the Swargate ST bus stand.

On Wednesday afternoon, as Jainuddin waited with other drivers for passengers, Anup, along with Yuvraj and two accomplices, confronted him near the bus stand exit gate.

Anup reportedly grabbed hold of Jainuddin while the others launched a violent attack with machetes. The attackers also smashed the windows of Jainuddin’s rickshaw, creating panic among the onlookers.
