Pune: The Pune Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (POGS) successfully conducted its 33rd Annual Conference and the 6th International Conference on Pearls and Pitfalls in Endoscopy and ART (EndoART) on December 26 and 27 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Pune.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Association of Maharashtra Obstetrics and Gynaecological Societies (AMOGS), spotlighted advancements in endoscopic surgeries and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), offering a platform for discussions, skill enhancement, and academic exchange.
The conference featured keynote addresses, presentations, workshops, research paper sessions, poster competitions, and interactive discussions led by national experts. Topics included imaging science, cosmetic gynecology, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, embryology, and even self-defense techniques.
The event was inaugurated by acclaimed film and theatre director Padmashri Dr. Jabbar Patel, who reminisced about his time at BJ Medical College and Sassoon Hospital, attributing his understanding of human emotions in cinema and theatre to his medical training. "I am pleased to be part of a conference discussing advancements that enhance women's safety and comfort," he stated.

Workshops covered diverse topics such as imaging science, cosmetic gynecology, embryology, and hysteroscopy. On this occasion, Speculum, the POGS periodical newsletter, was released by the dignitaries. Over 31 research papers and posters were presented, fostering critical discussions and knowledge sharing.
