Pune: In a tragic accident on the Pune-Solapur National Highway, a high-speed luxury bus hit a motorcycle from behind, killing both riders, a husband and wife, instantly. The incident took place near Malad in Daund taluka on Sunday around 10 am.
Dattatraya Gangadhar Yadav and his wife Suman Yadav were crossing the road near the divider at Gagarevasti when a luxury bus (MH 24, AB 5200) coming from Solapur side struck them with great force. Both sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
The Yadav family, originally from Khandesh, has been residing in Malad for the past few years. They had encouraged their son Rohan to pursue higher education despite challenging circumstances.
Suman Yadav, a sister to former Daund Panchayat Samiti member Babanrao Ranware, and Dattatraya Gangadhar Yadav, her brother-in-law, tragically lost their lives in this accident.
