Pune: Two Motorcyclists Killed in Handewadi–Manterwadi Road Accident

Bike skids near petrol pump; cement mixer truck driver arrested after fatal accident

Pune, 2nd September 2025: Pune witnessed a tragic accident on Handewadi–Manterwadi Road, where a cement mixer truck ran over two motorcyclists, killing them instantly.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning near the HP petrol pump on Handewadi Road. The victims were identified as Santosh Pralhad Kamble (49), a resident of Ahilyanagar, Handewadi Road, and Sadashiv Gorakh Phulawale (36), from Uruli Devachi.

Police said the motorcycle skidded on the road, causing both riders to fall. At that moment, a cement mixer truck (MH 12 VF 3401) coming from behind ran over them, leading to their death on the spot.

The driver, Nagesh Nana Korde (35), from Uphalai in Solapur, has been arrested, and a case has been registered against him at Fursungi Police Station.
