Pune: As part of the Student Quality Development Campaign, the Education Department will be conducting inspections in schools from August 1 to 31.

The focus will be on various initiatives such as measures to reduce the weight of students' backpacks, the use of blank pages in textbooks, student attendance, the implementation of the Joyful Saturday initiative, and school timings.

Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare provided details about this campaign. Under the campaign, the Education Department will inspect facilities and programs being implemented for students from grades 1 to 12 across the state.

This decision was taken in a recent meeting chaired by State School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar.

The campaign will follow a structured plan:

  • The first 20 days will involve school visits and inspections.

  • The next six days will be for making necessary corrections or improvements.

  • The following four days will be to ensure that these implementations have taken effect.

Under this campaign, Deputy Directors of Education, Education Officers, Group Education Officers, and similar positions will visit schools.

Through the SARAL website, Centre Heads, Group Education Officers, Education Officers, Principals, and Divisional Education Deputy Directors are required to update their reports daily after each school visit or inspection.

Deputy Directors of Education have been instructed to set targets for officials and staff to inspect as many schools as possible, accurately gather information, and ensure that various school initiatives are effectively reaching the students.
