After the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) held tests for coronavirus for support staff members and players in India, before flying them to the UAE, the result of throwdown specialist Raghavendra is said to have tested positive. He has been sent into quarantine and will hence miss the flight to UAE. Though there's still time for the flight to Australia, the strict rules of quarantine has forced Raghav out.

According to a report in the Mumbai Mirror, Raghu was scheduled to board the flight to UAE on Sunday but had to miss it because of testing positive for COVID-19.

Much like it was the case ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, BCCI has begun conducting COVID-19 tests for the Indian squad that will be travelling to the UAE, from where they will depart to Australia. While number of the players are already in UAE because of the IPL, some support staff and other players were travelling from India to UAE, where they will join the ‘bubble’.

India squadron is expected to travel with a 30-members across three formats for their tour of Australia with another 20-odd support staff which will make it a jumbo 50-plus contingent touring Down Under.

Sydney and Canberra are likely to host the white-ball leg (T20 and ODIs) while Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney are the locations of the four-match Test series.
