More reported to the Pune office on July 29 and claimed that his employee ID was still inactive on both Ultimax and the TCS system. In a meeting held on July 30, he raised the issue and was told his salary would be paid by July 31. However, no payment was received. More said he informed HR about his situation and lack of funds but received no response. As a result, he began sleeping outside the TCS office from July 29 onward.

The Forum of IT Employees (FITE) extended support to More, calling his protest courageous and urging him to seek legal help if necessary. According to the organization, raising one’s voice in such conditions requires bravery and employees must not hesitate to exercise their legal rights.

In response, TCS issued a clarification stating that More had remained absent without authorization, due to which his salary had been withheld as per company policy. The company added that he has now returned and expressed willingness to resume work. TCS also confirmed that temporary accommodation has been arranged for him, and efforts are being made to resolve the matter.
