Prince Harry will be giving up his honorary titles and patronages after confirming that he and his wife Meghan Markle will not return as working royals, Buckingham Palace announced on Friday.

According to the initial term of the agreement, the couple had agreed to a 12-month review following their decision to step away.

However, the final decision has been made between The Duke of Sussex and Members of The Royal Family.

The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family., Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

“While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much-loved members of the family,” the Palace said

The announcement comes just days after the couple revealed that they are expecting their second child.

Ever since leaving royal-life, the couple, who now lives in California, has embarked upon a new life, launching their media ventures.
