15 hurt in PMPML mishap

Pune: Around 15 passengers suffered injuries after the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus they were travelling in met with an accident on Monday. The driver and conductor of the bus also suffered injuries. All the injured persons were admitted to YCM Hospital in Pimpri.

The incident took place on the old Pune-Mumbai Highway near Kendriya Vidyalaya. The PMPML bus (MH 12 CH 3946) is owned by PMPML and was plying between Nigdi and Kiwle.

Subhash Gaikwad, PRO, PMPML, said, “The driver, Ramdas Shankar Bandal, was trying to prevent the bus from going into a pothole. He lost control of the bus and it toppled. All injured passengers were sent to YCMH for primary treatment and they will be discharged soon.”
